Role Description
Event Strategy and Planning:
Develop and implement an innovative event strategy aligned with our nonprofit's mission, values, and fundraising goals.
Lead events of all sizes from design to execution, ranging from 20 people to a 1,000+ volunteers.
Maintain consistent communication with clients, ensuring project fulfillment and addressing inquiries.
Create event budgets, timelines, and work plans, optimizing resource allocation and cost-effectiveness.
Prepare and share post-project reports with corporate partners, facilitating feedback and improvement.
Source and partner with external vendors and suppliers to bring ideas to life and ensure seamless event logistics.
Manage event essentials such as venue selection, catering, audiovisual needs, and registration.
Program Management:
Oversee end-to-end execution of nonprofit events, including our large annual days of service.
Lead cross-functional event teams, fostering collaboration and creativity.
Manage event registration systems and databases for smooth attendee experiences and communication.
Monitor and evaluate event performance to improve effectiveness and enjoyment.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Cultivate relationships with internal stakeholders, board members, and colleagues to foster an enthusiastic event culture.
Align event strategies with fundraising goals.
Foster partnerships with corporate sponsors, community organizations, and volunteers.
Serve as a primary point of contact for event-related inquiries, providing exceptional support.
Team Leadership and Development:
Lead a dynamic team of event professionals, fostering a supportive work environment.
Provide mentorship, guidance, and feedback to empower team members.
Encourage teamwork, collaboration, and sharing of innovative event ideas.
Inspire the team with new practices.
Preferred Experience
Proven experience, 3 years in planning and managing corporate events, with a focus on creating fun and engaging experiences.
Experience soliciting, fundraising, and closing corporate partnerships
Passion for our organization’s mission and dedication to making a positive impact on the community.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring flawless execution of events.
Strong project management abilities, with the capacity to juggle multiple events, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse stakeholders and create an atmosphere of excitement and enjoyment.
Tech savvy with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint) and CRM system (Salesforce preferred)
Valid GA Driver’s License and ability to drive up to 30’ box truck
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for up to 6 hours
