This is a hybrid role with the first three months in the office.
Eversource is looking for an Associate Administrator, Contracts located in Berlin, CT. Responsible for all contract matters relative to specific contracts, from initial planning through project execution and contract closeout for various Transmission and Engineering projects. Develops and maintains relationships with contractors and monitors the overall management of the contracts. Monitors and reviews contractor performance. The individual will interact with the Procurement Department, the Transmission and Engineering organization, and legal as necessary. The Associate Contract Administrator also ensures continuity and follow-up on the proper execution and charges for contracted work.
Essential Functions:
- Participates on negotiating committees to establish contract structure, price, terms and conditions and other pertinent contract conditions.
- Tracks errors, problems, reworks and aggressively pursues back charges and warranty claims. Carefully monitors the contractor's subcontracting process to reduce the chances for irregularities.
- Builds and maintains vendor relationships. Establishes and executes a strong scope control process to contain out-of-scope charges.
- Working with Engineering lead, Project Managers and Procurement, administers contract requirements relative to specific contracts, reviews capital contractor performance expectations in conjunction with Project Management and Project Engineering, interacts with vendors and monitors contract compliance. Provides administration of contracts including review of rates, schedule of values etc.
- Communicates and coordinates (is the primary interface) with Transmission project managers, project engineers, and other project team members, on contract, RFP, RFQ related matters.
- Periodically audits contractor invoices. Assures good documentation of contract decisions and closeout and all documents are filed appropriately.
- Working with Project Managers on contract strategy for managing risks and claims.
- Monitors vendor payments, reducing occurrence of duplicate charges, charges not billable under contract, overpayment errors.
Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:
Technical Knowledge/Skill:
- Ability to work with a matrix team of individuals having diverse disciplines and levels of experience relative to contract issues.
- Basic knowledge of contract administration principles, contracts and the application of contract administration including legal terms and conditions.
- Ability to comprehend the application of a variety of contract specifications.
- Ability to represent the Business and Eversource with assertive and tactful behavior.
- Knowledge of or ability to quickly learn computer technology including Maximo, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint or similar applications Good written and oral communication skills including formal presentations
- Effective interpersonal skills; excellent analytical skills Well organized and ability to work independently
Education:
- Bachelor’s in Business, Finance, related discipline or equivalent experience
Experience:
- Zero to three years of closely related contract administration experience required.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. This is a nonexempt position with a yearly salary range for this position starts at $65,880 and the market rate is $73,200 plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for a fill list of benefits.
