Job Description
This position is accountable for supporting management in implementing/planning and coordinating inspection/testing of product related to quality assurance and customer contracts/specifications. Also assists in all facets of production control activities such as inputting data into manufacturing system, recording, creating and maintaining documentation, and maintaining various measurements charts.


Responsibilities


  • Project/Program planning
  • Prepare Closed Order variance reports for accounting department
  • Support and/or participate in the organization’s continuous improvement program—Quality and ISO 9000 (QS as appropriate);
  • Perform data analysis when necessary
  • Interface with customers, suppliers, sub-contractors and in-house management on quality and documentation related issues
  • Maintain applicable quality system records and project data books
  • Shop labor transactions
  • Create and maintain various measurement charts
  • Create and maintain administrative forms to support the hourly employee operations
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Computer Support
  • Process closed work orders
  • Instruct others on the use of our manufacturing system and monitor data input
  • Perform other task necessary to ensure the effectiveness of the position
  • Material issues
  • Record and maintain any documentation deemed necessary to support production operations
  • Documentation
  • Coordinate inspection and testing activities between sub-contractors and 3rd party inspectors
  • Inventory transactions
  • Review internal quality records for specification acceptance
  • Implement and maintain status reports/updates on manufacturing activities
  • Manufacturing System Support


Requirements


  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management requirements
  • Computer literate in MS Office applications required
  • Excellent Communication skills, both written and oral
  • Knowledge of basic Production Control principles
  • Able to work under pressure of high manufacturing demands to meet deadlines and demands of performing multiple tasks.


Education & Experience


  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of 2 years in manufacturing environment required


Physical & Safety


  • Standing, bending, sitting, lifting up to 35#, squatting and walking for 8 to 10 hours per day.
  • Exposure to Production Environment
  • Must wear required personal protective equipment when in production areas
