Department Summary

The Institute for Health Disparities ( IHD ) conducts research, training and community outreach in the areas of minority health, health disparities and workforce diversity. Constituting the IHD are the Texas Center for Health Disparities, National Research Mentoring Network, Texas CEAL Consortium, Diversity Training Programs and the NIMHD Endowment. The Associate Director for Community Engagement will support the various programs under the directive of Dr. Jamboor Vishwanatha, Vice President and Regents Professor.

Position Summary

Employees assigned to this classification work under general supervision. Jobs assigned to this level usually require some previous experience, education, or specialized skill.

Minimum Qualifications

Proficiency with a wide range of PC or Mac software applications including MS Access, spreadsheets, databases, word processing.

Excellent administrative and time-management skills

Experience extracting data in a presentable format
