QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS or BA degree in Human Resource related field preferred.
- Minimum of four years experience in an administrative or management position in a 75+ employee organization.
- Minimum of four years of experience in food service management is required.
- English/Spanish bilingual skills and experience working in a multiethnic environment preferred.
- Experience in child nutrition preferred.
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Annual Contract: 250 days
SALARY:
$74,053 (BA 5)
Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2021-2022
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinate assignment communication to nutrition services employees including all mailings, employee transfer/promotion letters, assignment sheets, etc.
- Review applications, set interviews, and interview candidates for open positions within the nutrition services department in a timely manner.
- Manage nutrition services employment postings in the applicant tracking system.
- Cooperate with others to ensure compliance with federal and state personnel statutes and guidelines.
- Actively participate, as a member of the administrative team, in nutrition service operations to ensure we function within our vision of Quality, Service, and Accountability.
- Ensure that all personnel forms are processed in a timely manner.
- Review and approve personnel action forms for nutrition services employees.
- Provide guidance to nutrition services supervisors to resolve employee issues successfully.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Work with Director of Human Resources on Ancillary Handbook.
- Oversee employee onboarding procedures for nutrition services employees.
- Determine and communicate adequate staffing needs for each campus based on participation, budget, and service expectations.
- Support the Nutrition Services Department with regular and reliable attendance.
- Initiate formal investigations, perform staff interviews, and provide a written conclusion report.
- Supervise; Payroll Assistants, HR Clerk, Dispatcher, Recruitment and Retention Specialist, and Secretary to the Assistant Director Nutrition Services, HR.
- Prepare, review, and revise job descriptions for nutrition services positions.
- Oversee nutrition service payroll processes and procedures.
- Supervise and/or conduct employee counseling as needed. Prepare formal employee documentation as needed.
SAFETY RESPONSIBILITY:
All nutrition service employees must use good body mechanics and follow safe working procedures including infection control. The employee must report any unsafe condition to a manager or supervisor and demonstrate no on-the-job injuries due to a lack of good safety practices. On-the-job accidents must be reported immediately to the manager or supervisor and an accident report completed.
