Area Sales Representative - Southeast
Northern FL, AL, and GA
Are you passionate about getting the world out on the water? Do you have strong knowledge of loans, specifically marine loans? Are you able to develop strong relationships with customers, brokers, and dealers while focusing on gaining new business?
Then we want you as our newest Area Sales Representative with the Trident Funding team! In this role, you will fully be responsible for generating and closing new business within the geographically assigned territory. Working with brokers and dealers to generate new business, alongside other avenues to create new business, you will be responsible for working with individual customers through the complete lending process. You will be fully responsible for your assigned territory and be supported by a network of strong bank business partners.

What You’ll Do:
  • You will work hand in hand with customers throughout the loan process and loan lifecycle, including meeting with potential customers, working with a variety of bank partners, and collecting loan applications and information - via email, phone, and most of the time, in person
  • Overall, you'll be focused on increasing your territory. This can include marketing, promoting, and recommending loan products and services in a variety of methods. You'll also be using a variety of sales techniques to connect with, and close customers, while continually identifying, developing, and maintaining a quality network of business relationships
  • With strong time management and project management skills, you will source, arrange, negotiate, structure, and close lending transitions for all customers in your portfolio
  • You will continuously focus on the end customer, working with them via a variety of avenues - brokers/dealers, boat shows, or other ways you connect with them!
  • For each customer of yours, you will educate them on the terms and conditions of their loan to ensure a clear understanding
  • You will act as a consultant and provide sound advice to customers regarding the advantages and disadvantages of different loan products and pricing policies and guidelines. Additionally, you will need to adhere to all federal and state compliance guidelines, along with internal policies
  • By proactively soliciting new business and selling Trident Funding products and services, you will grow your territory and commission!
  • Using your strong sales and relationships building skills, you will develop new relationships and maintain existing relationships with dealers and brokers to gain new business
What You Should Have:
  • You'll be interacting daily with soon-to-be boat owners, so knowledge of common marine products within the territory and a passion for the recreational marine space is a great addition to have!
  • In order to be to provide sound advice and education to your customers regarding their loans, you'll need to have a strong knowledge of the lending space, including the credit and underwriting spaces. Ideally, this experience will come from marine or auto lending spaces, but other related lending spaces could be beneficial
  • As you will be managing your own territory, you'll need at least a few years of prior sales experience
  • You'll be responsible for growing the territory through a variety of channels, so you should have experience proactively soliciting new business and have mastered a variety of sales techniques
