Acquisition Associate Jobs

The Acquisitions Associate will play a key role in our mission to provide high-quality housing options for families and seniors, regardless of socioeconomic status. The integral position will work on the front end of the development process to develop strategy, pursue development sites, produce funding applications and RFP responses.

Qualifications & Requirements

• The position requires a high-level of critical thinking, organization, self-initiative, and strong interpersonal skills.

• Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

• Must be a team player with the ability to build relationships and rapport with local governments, public officials, industry professionals and your peers throughout the organization.

• Must have proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and Power Point.

• Master’s degree is preferred. Bachelor’s degree with experience will be considered.

Your general responsibilities shall include the following:

• Review and abstract Qualified Allocation Plans, Request for Proposals/Qualifications of state and local governments, and other solicitations for funding or development.

• Assist in formulating targets and strategies in response to competitive solicitations.

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with brokers, landowners, local governments, CRAs, non-profits and other partnership, or other sources for land and business development opportunities.

• Identify potential development and contact brokers/owners utilizing listing services, local government maps, brokers/consultants, and other technologies.

• Maintain MHP’s prospective development site database and tracker.

• Prepare and/or review letters of intent, purchase contracts, ground leases, and other site conveyance documents on prospective deals with legal counsel.

• Prepare investment committee memos with pertinent site information and sales comps.

• Manage the internal preparation of competitive funding applications with state agencies and local governments.

• Coordinate and assist developers with funding application forms, due diligence, and other submission requirements.

• Other tasks as may be requested by MHP management.
