Director Of Land Acquisition & Development

Hirewell has been exclusively retained by a privately held, regional developer of mixed commercial asset class properties to lead the search for a Director of Land Acquisition & Development. This role, which will target multiple Florida markets, will lead all land acquisition and associated development activities across multiple markets. Key responsibilities for this position include: Finding land for acquisition, Using resources to conduct due diligence, Cultivating relationships with external key professionals. Leading a team through the entitlement process and execution of the development strategy through the sale of the project. Ideal candidates will have a four year degree in real estate or construction management and have a minimum of 5+ years related experience.

What you’ll do

• Lead a team of professionals through the entitlement process
• Execute the exit strategy through the sale of the project
• Aggressively search and find land suitable for acquisition and development
• Create the opportunity and oversee its project proforma
• Negotiate purchase and sale agreements on both sides of the transaction
• Use online GIS resources, attorneys, planners, engineers, and other consultants to conduct due diligence on utilities, land use, traffic, zoning, topography, environmental, survey, title, etc.
