The Account Receivable Specialist plays an important role in the company's infrastructure, helping to maintain the viability and strength of the business. The appropriate candidate must be strong in the use of payment systems and Enterprise Resource Management systems; accurate and efficient. Our A/R Specialist is paid well because they do important work!

Position: Full Time, On-Site


Availability: M-F 8a-5p


Compensation: $24-$28 /hr


Essential Duties & Responsibilities


Accounts Receivable Specialist's responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:


  • Processes all incoming ROA daily into electronic check scan payments
  • Prepares audits, meetings, spreadsheets, and special projects as needed or as directed by management
  • Responds to questions, provides support, and assists in resolution of issues brought forth by team members, vendors, and internal departments as requested.
  • Maintains accurate records of credit transactions, deposits, and payments; answers account questions for customers and sends letters regarding account status.
  • Receives incoming mail (electronic and hard) for invoices and expenses to process payments and expense reports
  • Reviews and monitors all incoming invoices to ensure proper recording of financial data
  • Understands the company's business strategy to improve financial, billing and receiving processes through the use to integrated systems
  • Collects, interprets, analyzes and summarizes data and trends and identifies and implements improvements to account receivables
  • Assists IT/IS with ERP, CRM, payment portals, etc. to build out AR/Collections system – providing reporting and integration between CRM, ERP and payment systems
  • Validates daily invoices and credit allocations between CRM and ERP systems
  • Processes and mails customer invoices.
  • Performs reconciliations
  • Conducts the filing of all vendor data and year-end purging
  • Receives and verifies invoices and vendor information and meets payment deadlines following standard operating procedures and established terms.
  • Receives and posts payments received into computerized accounting software system. Contacts customers and collects monies due for all transactions.
  • Monitors accounts and pursues collection of past due balances with frequent collection calls.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities


The Accounts Receivable Specialist handles multiple tasks quickly, the right candidate is proficient in payment systems (SAGE), ERP, time management and organization. While the role requires extraordinary attention to detail and use of technical mediums, such as CRM, Word, Excel and TEAMS, the A/R Specialist must be brilliant in his or her ability to work collaboratively and embrace a team dynamic. Physical and Environmental Elements


Physical Demands: Ability to sit continuously for over 2/3 of normal work shift, and stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms for at least 1/3 of the normal work shift. Ability to talk or hear continuously. Finger dexterity is required frequently for over 2/3 of the normal work shift. Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch up to 1/3 of the normal work shift. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds for up to 1/3 of the normal work shift.


Vision: Ability to see at close range (clear or corrected vision at 20 inches or less) Ability to see at a distance (clear or corrected vision at 20 feet or more). Ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point (peripheral vision).


Work Environment: Position is typically performed in the office environment with standard equipment and moderate noise levels (examples: computers, printers, fax, copiers, light traffic, and phone).
