Accounts Receivable Specialist Jobs

Full Time Position

Reporting to the Controller the Staff Accountant is responsible for performing the day-to-day accounts receivable activities for the company.They will work to ensure accurate financial entries and presentation in accordance with and in compliance with US GAAP.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·Verifying the accuracy of customer invoices, confirming that the correct discounts and prices

·Assuring invoices are submitted daily to correct customer contacts

·Monitoring EDI invoices for errors and correcting all errors to insure proper invoice submission

·Posting and applying all check remittances from customers

·Recording credit memos to correct deduction accounts

·Gathering and filing all credit memo back-up in NetSuite server and Company files

·Auditing credit memos for accuracy and notifying when there is a discrepancy

·Filing formal disputes for incorrect credit memos with customers to seek credit refund

·Collaborating with the company on projects including but not limited to:

-Reduction of customer deductions

-Improving company workflow related to customer shipments, deductions, and invoice accuracy

·Posting and applying all electronic payments from customers

·Creating and distributing deduction reports and annotating important notes for staff

·Meeting with Sales team weekly to discuss customer account issues and propose solutions

·Requesting signed proof of delivery monthly for shipments and filing on company server

·Researching and resolving issues that arise from customer emails including but not limited to:

-Creating Invoices for Overages received by customer

- Correcting Invoice Errors

- Dispute Follow ups, providing feedback and additional backup to customer

- Requesting missing documentation

- Responding to collections

·Updating customer contacts as requested by customer

·Completing customer account reconciliations regularly and submitting collection emails for past due invoices.

·Verifying and processing customer returns

·Support accounting team as needed with various projects

·experience in natural products/food industry is highly desired.

Qualifications:

• Two or more years of accounts receivable experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working in Manufacturing is a plus.

• Experience with NetSuite.

• Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Excel.
