Robert Half has partnered with a successful professional Services firm in finding an experienced Accounts Receivable (A/R) professional to join their growing team. In this position, you will enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. Your responsibilities

• Take care of payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
• Help resolve payment issues by contacting clients, assist in setting up payment plans
• Square bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in diverse ledgers
• Provide information, as requested to the sales/marketing department, shippers, customers, and other stakeholders
• Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. written correspondence, phone contact, skip-tracing, and making arrangements for payment
• Execute a range of foundational accounting tasks in agreement with normal procedures, including general accounting tasks
• Promote, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization
• Verify documents and codes

Requirements

• Experience with ERP systems
• Consumer collections experience preferred
• Solid understanding of cash applications
• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field desired
• Analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
• Adeptness in credit collections
• Reliable skills in Microsoft Office with excellent Excel skills
• General familiarity with Credit card accounting
• Deep understanding of Consumer Credit
• Demonstrated knowledge of Credit Card Charges
• Two years of experience
• High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
• Commercial collections experience
• Collections experience
• Minimum Degree Required is High School Diploma
