JOB PURPOSE:
The Physician Recruitment Manager is responsible for the operations of the physician recruitment department for Physician Enterprise. This role is responsible for following the approved recruitment process to identify qualified physicians for Physician Enterprise. In addition, the Manager assists and coordinates the development of strategic and comprehensive physician recruitment plans in accordance with the needs and goals of the organization. The Manager evaluates and develops improvements to the staffing processes, which include, candidate sourcing and selection, interview scheduling and coordination, candidate tracking, on boarding, third party vendor management, etc.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Works with departments and external search firms to develop effective recruitment strategies and campaigns for recruitment of physicians in a variety of specialties via direct mail, advertising, residency programs, state/national medical organizations, and at specialty meetings.
2. Identifies and evaluates trends in healthcare recruitment, including location and economic conditions.
3. Develops innovative strategic plans to respond to competitive challenges in the marketplace. 4. Creates and updates metrics on physician recruiting activities, including vacancy rates, turnover, time to fill, search firm activity, advertising costs, etc.
5. Manages the physician recruitment team through mentoring and prioritization of department operations, assigned searches, workload, and special projects.
6. As needed, manages and completes activities on all searches including the coordination of formal offers and drafting employment agreements.
7. Manages the recruitment process including but not limited to these activities: execution of recruitment plan, sourcing candidates, screening candidates, arranging site visits, negotiating agreements and relocation activities.
8. Works with leadership teams to assist in exceeding hiring goals, managing staffing expectations, advertising, and managing budget guidelines.
9. Trains recruiters on all stages of the recruiting process, and develops strategies that enhance the professional development of physician recruiters.
10. Detects trends to improve physician recruitment.
11. Manages execution of key reporting metrics for recruitment.
12. Develops and evaluates spending on an on-going basis with the goal of maximizing cost effectiveness and ROI of operations while maintaining budgetary goals.
13. Stays appraised of ongoing recruitment initiatives by communicating with leadership on an ongoing basis.
14. Ensures operations and processes are in place to meet or exceed recruitment and retention goals.
15. Negotiates contracts with vendors.
16. Manages a standardized tracking and reporting system to be shared with senior leadership, including prioritizing vacancies.
Requirements
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Five (5) years of progressive recruitment experience to include one (1) year of provider recruitment. experience.
Onboarding and Compliance knowledge required.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
None.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Supervisory experience preferred.
