Account Manager, Emerging Accounts Beverages.
This person will be responsible for growing beverage sales within our emerging Channel. Though the customer portfolio will be diverse, this individual will be tasked with growing the functional beverage business by fostering relationship with existing accounts and leverage business opportunities to help them grow their business in a profitable sustainable way.
What would you do?
- Prospect and “close” new business opportunities through standard product, custom product and integrated solution selling
- Regularly document activities in Salesforce and maintain an up-to-date “pipeline” of qualified opportunities
- Collaborate with technology business development leaders for an integrated Go-to-Market (GTM) approach
- Perform account planning and key account research to optimize efforts and account penetration
- Manage complex pricing models aligned with Key Customers expectations
- Regularly inform leadership of changing market dynamics and other factors influencing accounts of strategic importance
- Develop and maintain targeted high-level relationships and contacts with the account(s)
- Ensures margin growth year on year and in line with the account plan and budget requirements
Accountabilities and Performance Measures
- Active participant in senior level customer engagements
- Achieves strategic customer objectives as agreed in account plan
- Achieves assigned sales quota with designated strategic accounts
- Meets assigned expectations for profitability
What will you need to be successful?
- Drive for results and Customer Focus oriented
- Skill set in relationship building & delivering to an agreed target. Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams
- 5+ years of direct Account Management Experience within beverage or supplements ingredients.
- Flavor or taste background experience is a significant advantage
- This position can be Remote within USA. Availability to travel 40% of time. Preferent location West Coast USA, but not limited.
- Commercial understanding (Margin management strategic account planning, return of investment, P&L Management)
- Entrepreneurial mindset & comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with CRM systems (salesforce.com) & Microsoft Suite Tool
- Stakeholder management and ability to influence and build trust across all levels.
- Bachelor’s Degree, with preference in Food Science or Business is highly desired.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
