Academic Program Administrator - Office Of Diversity And Inclusion

The Keck School of Medicine Doctor of Medicine program seeks an Academic Program Administrator for the Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) who will support the mission of recruiting and maintaining a diverse medical student population and physician workforce. Under the direction of the associate dean for Diversity and Inclusion, the ODI Academic Program Administrator will support the development and coordination of pipeline programs, medical student support programs, and ODI education and training programs for the Keck School of Medicine community.
Responsibilities Include

• Support the medical school admissions process by meeting with applicants and providing information on ODI services.
• Advise and support medical student interest groups, including the Student National Medical Association (SNMA), the Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA), MED lambda, Asian Pacific American Medical Student Association (APAMSA), and other inclusion groups.
• Supervise office staff and student workers in the delivery of their duties.
• Support and oversee ODI educational programming and curricula, including service learning for medical students.
• Identify trends and needs to establish new services and/or modify existing programs. Work with community partners and organizations, and the Keck School and University communities to provide access to resources to support medical students.
• Coordinate the production and dissemination of the office newsletter.
• Plan and oversee student and alumni events.
• Manage pipeline programs from elementary school through post-baccalaureate, leading to potential enrollment in medical or other allied health careers.
• Develop and administer the department budget.
• Support the recruitment and retention of medical students by providing innovative programs and advisement to enhance the academic and social experience in medical school.

The annual base salary range for this position is $76,018.76 - $85,000. Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree. Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education Minimum Experience: 3 years. Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders. Demonstrated experience in management/leadership roles, building and maintaining relationships with domestic and international stakeholders. Proven budget oversight and planning experience. Outstanding interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with exemplary attention to detail. Experience in higher education and/or customer service. Proven ability to plan, implement, and coordinate program logistics. Demonstrated database/data entry experience. Proven project management and problem solving skills, able to handle multiple timelines, changing priorities, and fluctuating workloads.
