Job Description

Lyft is looking for an Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) Specialist to develop and execute key strategies in support of making Lyft a great place to work. This individual will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization and work on a variety of projects to drive I&D across our global footprint. The specialist will play a critical role in the implementation and facilitation of the execution of I&D programs and initiatives.


The ideal candidate has experience in I&D and project management and can own and operationalize strategies. The Inclusion and Diversity Specialist will report to The Head of Inclusion & Diversity.


Responsibilities:


  • Act as a project manager to develop and implement strategic initiatives, inclusive of results metrics
  • Collaborate, consult and partner with internal and external stakeholders
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify and address I&D organizational gaps and remain current with trends
  • Ability to analyze people data and implement recommendations based on findings
  • Ability to work through ambiguity and exhibit ownership of I&D initiatives
  • Exhibit advanced verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • In this role, you will support I&D initiatives ensuring alignment and integration of strategic plans and programming
  • Identify training and or resource needs and deliver solutions to stakeholders
  • Support Global I&D strategy communications, ensure regional alignment and metrics


Experience:


  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically and programmatically
  • Excellent communication, writing, collaborating, and project management skills
  • 2+ years of professional experience in the diversity, equity, and inclusion space and/or operations
  • Strong project management skills to handle complex projects simultaneously
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while multitasking, re-prioritizing projects and communicating priority updates to stakeholders
  • Experience designing data-driven programs and managing dynamic budgets
  • Ability to demonstrate awareness and understanding of multiple facets of diversity: cultural, ethnic,racial, religious, gender, educational, age, sexual orientation, sexual identity, and other differences that make up Lyft
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience

Starting in September 2023, this role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule — Team Members will be expected to work in the office 3 days per week on Mondays, Thursdays and a team-specific third day. Additionally, hybrid roles have the flexibility to work from anywhere for up to 4 weeks per year.


The expected range of pay for this position in the Nashville area is $77,40- $86,100. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits.
