Regional Fleet Manager Jobs

Process management & project management experience strong written & verbal language skills English, preferable additional languages

Manage Fleet specialist team to ensure smooth fleet operation activities in the assigned sub-region.

Microsoft Office Experience: 1 Year (Preferred)

Dispatching trucks across the 48 states and Canada

Maintaining records in a database

Keeping operations in compliance with the latest FMCSA regulations

Identify, recommend, and assist with managers’ evaluation of mechanics skillsets, training, and certifications of mechanics.

Utilize agency needs and industry standards to establish sustainable fleet management strategies.

Manage fleet procurement, utilization and operation, ongoing maintenance and repair and decommission of the fleet.

Procure vehicles and equipment using appropriate statutory requirements, agency policies and procedures.

Assist managers with training of Great Parks’ mechanic staff as it pertains to the fleet maintenance program.

Conduct regular meetings with mechanics and manager teams. And provide feedback on employee performance levels to direct supervisors.

5+ years of leadership experience, ideally in a fleet and/or warehouse environment

Previous experience as a diesel technician highly desired

Ability to delegate work and manager his/own and teams productivity

Strong knowledge of DOT regulations

Plans, directs, manages, coordinates and supervises programs for acquisition, assignment, assignment, utilization, maintenance, repair, replacement and disposal of fleet vehicles.

Knowledge of purchasing policies and procedures relating to fleet assets

Knowledge of best vehicle maintenance and other industry-related practices

Knowledge of basic vehicle mechanics including ability to identify need for major repairs

Education Required: Postsecondary diploma or degree in supply chain management, operations, logistics, business administration, or transportation

National Fleet Manager, Knowledge and Skills:

Develop the fleet vehicle acquisition, lifecycle management, maintenance and remarketing plan that supports organizational growth and resiliency.

Developing and implementing Fleet policies and procedures, measures and performance indicators as needed for both management and operational oversight and control.

Effectively and efficiently, manage the fuel program network wide.

2+ years as a people manager

Refueler commissioning and decommissioning – Coordinate with Epic sales and Risk Management on the commissioning and decommissioning of refuelers

Manage existing refueler parts – Epic has a significant number of parts that are kept for unexpected needs.

Ensures that all changes to plant and equipment, vehicles, and associated refueler systems are managed appropriately.

The Refueler Manager must select, vet, and manage only vendors that can meet our safety, quality, and budget goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.

Transportation Management System experience required

Engages daily with Dedicated fleets, logistics planners, RLT’s (Remote logistics teams) Domestic freight partners and terminals to drive key KPI’s.

Minimum of 8 years related work experience with Dedicated Fleets

Ability to set priorities, achieve deadlines, and manage multiple tasks at the same time

Drive process improvement to continue to improve dedicated fleet optimization.

Develop and implement fleet management policies and procedures, including vehicle utilization, fuel management, and driver safety programs.

Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date fleet management records and reports, including vehicle inventory, maintenance schedules, and fuel usage.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and fleet management software.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field.

Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective vehicle ordering, maintenance, and repair services.

Lead, train, and manage a team that supports this business.

3-5 years of experience in multi-site site management

Demonstrated experience with direct cost management in excess of $10 million

Manage shop safety standards and support environment compliance, training

Manage Transman shop compliance and technician productivity

Manage and oversee outside repair and maintenance vendors

Partner with field operations teams to review key fleet areas (accidents/rentals) and common business objectives Qualifications

Knowledge & experience with DOT guidelines

Develop and manage a comprehensive asset utilization plan.

Manage all regulatory compliance (DOT, EPA, FDA, SOX, Fuel Controls).

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

5+ years previous experience in fleet maintenance or supply chain operations.

Fleet or similar CMMS experience

Provides information for equipment management lead tracking and resolution.

Builds collaborative relationships & acts as a consultant with equipment management personnel.

5+ years of experience in the product support and/or engineering fields or equivalent combination of education and experience

Strong customer service/contact experience, communication, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.

Job Duties/Responsibilities May Include, But Are Not Limited To

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, marketing and/or equivalent application experience.

Intermediate knowledge of state government organization and management

Plan, direct, and oversee fleet management practices of all state-owned vehicles;

Follow and make recommended changes to policies and procedures with regard to Fleet Management

Lead an interagency advisory committee related to vehicle fleet management;

Strong background in project management and successful project implementations

Knowledge of or prior experience in strategic planning

Experience: Three (3) years of relevant work experience as well as experience in a supervisory role (in addition to education requirement)
