This is a Long Term (Ongoing) Contract Role**Essential Duties and Responsibilities

High school diploma or general education development (GED) diploma required.

DOT 49 CFR Hazardous Materials Shipping experience preferred but not required

Monitor shipping dates and verify material is ready for shipment.

Adhere to shipping and regulatory-compliance procedures; comply with laws, regulations and standards.

Crate, band, brace and/or palletize material and equipment to prepare for domestic or international shipping.

Manage shipping risks to avoid incurring penalties, warranty repairs or other charges that may have substantial financial impact

Pick warehouse items and deliver to/appropriately allocate for internal departments as ordered

Ensure that all internal preparations and outgoing shipments are properly labeled and that correlating documents are available with each shipment

Arrange for a carrier vehicle or pick-up where necessary

Record damaged or defective items and replace them according to company policies

Responsible to maintain FIFO inventory rotation

Manages the completion, organization, and maintenance of all transactions, paperwork, reports, records, and documentation to meet compliance standards and business requirements.

4-8+ years of related experience in a shipping logistics role with international responsibilities (import/export).

Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements, with emphasis on finished goods inventory control and transportation.

Supports customer service and shipping departments to ensure documentation, packaging, and other customer requirements are noted and completed as necessary.

Experience in life science, biopharma, or related industry is preferred.

Experience supporting operations in a multi-site, multinational manufacturing environment is desired
