Overview Workforce Planning Analysts are responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure that an organization has the right number of employees with the right skills in the right positions at the right time. They analyze data to identify trends and develop forecasts that help inform decisions about staffing levels, recruitment, and training. They also work with managers to develop plans to meet short- and long-term staffing needs. Detailed Job Description Workforce Planning Analysts are responsible for developing and implementing strategies to ensure that an organization has the right number of employees with the right skills in the right positions at the right time. They analyze data to identify trends and develop forecasts that help inform decisions about staffing levels, recruitment, and training. They also work with managers to develop plans to meet short- and long-term staffing needs.Workforce Planning Analysts are responsible for:
• Analyzing data to identify trends and develop forecasts
• Developing strategies to ensure that an organization has the right number of employees with the right skills in the right positions at the right time
• Working with managers to develop plans to meet short- and long-term staffing needs
• Developing and implementing recruitment and training plans
• Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of workforce planning strategies
• Developing and maintaining relationships with external recruitment agencies
• Preparing reports and presentations to communicate workforce planning strategies
Skill Requirements
Workforce Planning Analysts must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They must be able to work independently and as part of a team. They must also be able to work with a variety of stakeholders, including managers, employees, and external recruitment agencies.
Qualifications
Workforce Planning Analysts typically need a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or a related field. Some employers may prefer candidates with a master’s degree.
Knowledge
Workforce Planning Analysts must have a strong understanding of human resources principles and practices, as well as a good knowledge of labor laws and regulations. They must also have a good understanding of data analysis techniques and software.
Experience
Workforce Planning Analysts typically need at least two years of experience in human resources or a related field. Some employers may prefer candidates with experience in workforce planning or data analysis.
