About the Opportunity
Epsilon is seeking a Vice President, Sales Leader who will be responsible for achieving the company’s strategic and financial objectives in the Automotive vertical. With a rapidly growing sales team, we are looking for a seasoned, charismatic leader who will guide our sales team to success. The VP role will be actively engaged in strategic and operational planning activities for the market. The position will report to the Senior Vice President.
Key Accountabilities
- Recommendation Review
- Manage account management sales and service teams to consistently over-achieve on Epsilon offline and online revenue targets
- Product Penetration
- Develop quarterly gap plans that identify opportunities resulting in over achievement of quotas
- Forecast revenue consistent with company’s monthly and quarterly management forecasting procedures, within +/- 3% of actual results
- Actively engage with Business Development to identify and drive new product development
- Market revenue and contribution performance
- Pre and Post Meeting Preparation
- Develop and manage to key performance indicators including:
- Data Audits
- Proactively notify senior leadership of forecast changes and market risks
- Epsilon Cross Sell
- Number of direct reports will include 2-4 Regional Managers and 20-30 Field Associates selling and servicing Epsilon products
- Attract, develop, and retain staff
- Manage team by objectives (MBOs), setting quarterly and annual performance objectives and assessing performance
- Conduct development and succession plans for team members and identify high potential performers
- Regularly inspect the practices of account management teams, conduct tactical reviews to identify and maximize client opportunities, regularly review client results
- Defining the client/market needs and developing Epsilon solutions
- Work closely with client service and internal support teams
- Serve as the point of accountability for the successful sale and service of all Epsilon products
- Develop market and client revenue plans through a combination top-down market forecasting and bottom-up account planning
- Setting success measures for client growth, product penetration, and satisfaction
- Lead the operational planning process, including:
- Collaborate with the Epsilon leadership team in completing strategic plans as well as preparing performance updates for Quarterly Business Reviews
- Strategic and operating planning
- Manage customer relationships of all products and services
- Participate in the strategic planning process for automotive market, including market and competitive assessments, market sizing and forecasting, and development of market specific strategies
- Ensure team is achieving superior customer satisfaction and service level expectations
- Implementation of key product and pricing strategies
- Experience working with Microsoft products, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Lead the development of account strategies and annual plans, including:
- Technical Requirements
- Lead team in identification and recommendation of cross selling of Epsilon products/services
- A high degree of travel will be required for this position
- Proven track record in executive and/or senior management positions preferably in direct marketing and data related businesses
- 8-10 years of experience in the sales, delivery, and service of tier 2 and 3 automotive related products and services
- At least 10 years of industry experience
- Strong business acumen skills
- Experience is selling digital based solutions
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills with local and regional automotive dealer and regional OEM personnel
