JOB PURPOSE:
The Vice President of Sales is responsible for managing sales, strategies, and customer relationships in direct markets, international markets, and all verticals. This position leads and develops the internal sales management team and Clarus’ external sales partners. The ideal candidate will have the drive and vision to achieve specific sales goals, strong interpersonal skills, and team building capabilities. This position is critical to Clarus’ long-term success and organizational “fit” is incredibly important along with the ability to champion an entrepreneurial and results-driven culture.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Achieve and exceed sales goals.
- Develop go-to-market strategies and deliver sales results in line with company sales targets.
- Identify opportunities to increase sales volume in all markets and verticals.
- Coach and manage the sales teams’ individual and overall performance, assist sales representatives with key accounts and opportunities. and partner with sales representatives in presenting products to key accounts.
- Evaluate market opportunities, changes in demand and competitor analysis and develop market-driven strategies and programs.
- Participate on the Senior Leadership Team to help steer the strategic direction of the company and provide input regarding product development, brand, marketing tools, and new channel or vertical opportunities.
- Leverage and enhance sales through analyzing sales data and align sales strategy with market opportunities.
- Attract, retain, and motivate a highly engaged, high performance team through demonstrated commitment to talent management and training.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10+ years of Sales experience; commercial furniture industry preferred.
- Experience participating on a Senior Leadership Team including presenting to the Board of Directors.
- In depth sales, sales management, strategic planning, and execution skills.
- Experience working closely with the CEO to create and drive strategies to grow the company.
- 50% to 75% travel required.
- 5+ years of experience leading a Sales team at the VP level.
- Strong team development and management experience.
- Growth mindset with proven experience in increasing sales and promoting the success of the sales team.
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing or related field required.
