About The Job
Our client, whom we will refer to as Confidential Company, is searching for a dynamic and experienced sales leader to join their company in the InsurTech industry in the role of VP of Sales. The VP of Sales works closely with the President, serving as a key executive leader of sales operations and acting as a crucial link between various divisions within the company. The VP of Sales will be responsible will be responsible for the overall growth of the company’s health vertical, particularly in driving sales and expanding market presence. They will work closely with the President and strategic partners to set and achieve sales goals and objectives.

Essential Functions
  • Clearly identify marketing requirements and assist/guide in execution.
  • Increases revenues and income.
  • Develop and implement a 3 to 5 year sales plan.
  • Oversees sales development and the implementation of effective marketing strategies.
  • Lead the development and execution of the organization's strategic sales plans, ensuring alignment with the company's overall mission, vision, and values.
  • Track prospect, competitor, & client intelligence and accurate pipeline reporting
  • Build industry alliances and partnerships in relevant forums and effectively leverage them to create brand awareness and build new client relationships.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, investors, and other industry leaders.
  • Leverage professional networks to develop business prospects and revenue opportunities.
  • Oversee all aspects of the organization's sales, to ensure the company achieves its financial and business objectives.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and excellence, inspiring and motivating the sales team to deliver high-quality products and services.
  • Strategize, Own and Target healthcare businesses to position the Confidential Company’s value proposition.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and market conditions, anticipating challenges and opportunities, and leading the company to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Develop and implement high quality, effective sales strategies in alignment with short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the organization's sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
  • Bring in the industry/customer perspective to help augment solutions/differentiators.
  • Performs other related duties to achieve the goals of the organization.
  • Represent the company to external audiences, including at industry events and conferences, serving as an ambassador for the organization and its values.
Minimum Knowledge Skills And Abilities Required
  • Excellent sales abilities with a verifiable track record of exceeding sales targets.

  • Familiarity with diverse business functions including finance, marketing, etc.
  • Must have liability insurance coverage.

  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated tech savviness and the ability to make informed decisions about technology investments.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and planning skills.
  • Must be familiar with cross-border company and management structures.
  • Proven ability to develop effective marketing and sales strategies to grow the business.
  • Excellent analytical, decision making, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Must be well networked in healthcare industry circles.
  • Must have a strong knowledge of the US healthcare industry and a clear understanding of the complex revenue cycle needs of the industry.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with effective relationship building skills.
  • Must be familiar and networked with Urgent Care and Acute Care centers.
  • Must be willing to travel extensively within the US as per business demands.
  • Knowledge of the industry and market trends.
Education And Experience Required
  • Experience with CRM tools like HubSpot or Salesforce.com is required.
  • Experience with an international organization preferred.
  • Demonstrated lead development and closing experience is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline is required. A Master’s degree in Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with a start-up or early-stage organization is preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in setting and achieving strategic business objectives, building and managing high-performing teams, and driving organizational change and growth.
  • 10+ years of healthcare product/technology/service sales and management experience in medium to large complex deals, preferably in a national role, is required.
