About the Opportunity:
Remote- USA- East Coast or Central
The Vice President of Global Sales Operations will lead a high impact; global sales operations team that focuses on optimizing sales efficiency by refining sales processes, standardizing operational workflows and tools, creating & documenting details of all aspects of process, and driving consistency throughout the global sales organization. In this role, you will work closely with Sales and Executive leadership to develop and optimize go-to-market strategy, processes, systems and infrastructure that boost Sales productivity and efficiency, enabling Ellucian to accelerate revenue growth & global expansion.
This is mission critical role, where you will have an opportunity to scale our Global Sales Operations group, enabling our Sales team to be well-versed in the complete breadth of our products and services to be best positioned to act as information connectors & helping customers break down internal barriers throughout every stage of the customer journey. The Vice President of Global Sales Operations reports to the Senior Vice President of Revenue Operations & Strategy.
Where you will make an impact
- Provide Executive leadership and day to day management of all Global Sales Operations team. Design, implement and manage sales forecasting processes that provide accurate prediction into future revenue performance
- Drive Sales productivity & effectiveness through development and optimization of processes and systems
- Drive annual planning process across global Sales organization, including business modelling, territory planning and compensation design, in close partnership with Sales, Finance and other cross-functional leadership
- Ensure forecasting efforts are appropriately integrated with other planning processes within the company while delivering high levels of quality, accuracy, and process consistency.
- Deliver core business metrics, reporting and analytics, including pipeline, bookings, lead funnel & churn analysis
- Ensure that Sales teams are fluent in the complete breadth of our products and services, not just within their specific domain or product focus-area(s)
- Drive the transformation of the sales funnel and cycle to be more closely aligned with how cloud customers buy
- Promote Sales’ paradigm shift from “Information Authorities” to “Information Connectors”, so that team members can quickly gather relevant information and connect the dots internally in a more rapid and helpful manner.
- Collaborate with senior sales leaders to identify opportunities to simplify & enhance the sales process through optimization and automation
What you will bring
- Demonstrated expertise and success in the analysis, design, and automation of business processes
- Previous experience in helping organizations through the transition from on premise to Cloud support is highly desired
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously as well as effectively collaborate across teams and to work in a diverse, fast paced environment
- Proven ability to lead and scale Global Sales Operations of significant scope through growth periods
- Previous field sales experience strongly desired
- Data driven with a deep experience leverage business analytics to drive actionable results
- Passionate about field success/enablement and has proven track record driving revenue growth through optimizing Sales Operations
- Expert proficiency in Salesforce.com
- 15+ years’ experience with 7+ years as a Sales Operations leader supporting global Sales teams in an enterprise software company
- Seasoned Executive Leader with proven track record of developing talent and inspiring/motivating teams to drive high performance results,
- Demonstration of excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, communicating effectively with customers, executives, leaders, program/initiative owners, stakeholders, and other audiences as well as delivering presentations before large audiences
- Results orientated with strong decision-making skills and the ability to prioritize multiple objectives while meeting aggressive deadlines
- Strong influencer with a proven ability to develop strong working relationships in a matrixed, global environment and establishing a high level of credibility across functional lines of business (ie: Sales, Cloud, Product, & Software Development)
