As a rapidly growing organization, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced VP of Supply Chain to join our team and contribute to our mission.
Role Overview:
As the VP of Supply Chain, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of clinical supply chain operations related to radiopharmaceuticals. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of high-quality radiopharmaceutical products to support clinical trials and commercialization efforts. This position requires a strong background in clinical supply management, regulatory compliance, and an understanding of the unique challenges and requirements of radiopharmaceutical development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic plans for clinical supply chain management, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Clinical Supply Management: Oversee the planning, forecasting, and procurement of radiopharmaceuticals for clinical trials, taking into account study timelines, patient enrollment projections, and regulatory requirements. Ensure adequate supply levels to meet trial demands and minimize any potential disruptions.
- Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and logistics partners to ensure reliable and efficient supply chain operations. Negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and address any issues or concerns.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations and guidelines pertaining to radiopharmaceutical development, clinical trials, and supply chain management. Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and maintain documentation for audits and inspections.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to develop and implement quality systems and processes related to clinical supply chain operations. Ensure adherence to good manufacturing practices (GMP) and other quality standards.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including R&D, clinical operations, regulatory affairs, and manufacturing, to align supply chain strategies and support the seamless execution of clinical trials and product launches.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of supply chain professionals. Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different functions and levels of the organization.
- MBA or advanced degree in pharmaceutical sciences, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Familiarity with clinical trial operations and understanding of the drug development process.
- Proven experience in vendor management, contract negotiations, and oversight of external suppliers and partners.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Strong knowledge of global regulatory requirements and guidelines related to clinical supply chain management, including GMP.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience sourcing within a Clinical environment is a must
- Significant experience (10+ years) in clinical supply chain management within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, preferably with a focus on radiopharmaceuticals or nuclear medicine.
