We are partnered with an emerging pre-IPO biotech developing novel molecules and therapies to activate immune responses and treat age-related disease: specifically inflammatory, fibrotic, and metabolic indications. With this technology, they’ve found improvements in both the length and quality of patient lives.

Role Description:

This is a hybrid position where the ideal candidate will visit the San Francisco Bay Area office 2-3 days per week.

The Vice President of Translational Sciences with act as the bridge from R&D and discovery programs to preclinical. They will be responsible to work in a highly cross-functional environment, and engage with the executive c-suite team to make high level strategic decisions on moving from nonclinical and into preclinical/clinical studies.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience leading cross-functional project teams, preferably preclinical-stage, and familiarity with the drug discovery research process, including transitions from discovery to development stage
• Minimum of 15 or more years of biotech or pharmaceutical experience with a proven track record in the areas of PK/PD/translational/pharmacology/toxicology
• PhD or equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline is required
• Familiarity with small start-up environments
