Your team responsibilities

MSCI, Inc. seeks Vice President Index Sales Specialist in New York, NY to facilitate high level management contact including developing and maintaining relationships with senior, decision making contacts that will impact usage and spend levels for MSCI Index products.

Your key responsibilities
Facilitate Strategic planning within territory and key accounts. Facilitate new product placement. Identify opportunities across other business segments. Answer detailed client inquiries about MSCI products and methodologies. Strive to achieve or exceed targeted revenue goals. Keep all clients up to date about MSCI products, announcements, projects, etc. Work with other teams and departments to ensure that all client requests and inquiries are managed appropriately. Maintain accurate records regarding account visits, client conversations, and finalized contracts. Solicit client feedback regarding new initiatives and future product development. Provide feedback from clients to the Product Management Unit, Marketing, Sales Colleagues and Research. Drive new account penetration, cold calling, qualification, and execute on sales strategy. Expand existing client base by uncovering investment needs and presenting solutions. Effectively position and differentiate MSCI and products against competitor firms and their offerings. Demonstrate mastery of Index core product offerings and proficiency in broader MSCI solutions. Conduct market analysis, competitor research, prospect research to execute product conversions. Manage campaign tracking, analysis and reporting of key metrics. Initiate dialogue with prospective and current clients regarding latest improvements or additions to product suite. Use databases to prepare market opportunity analysis to assist sales effort.

Your skills and experience that will help you excel
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Economics, Finance or a related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or related occupation: utilizing customer relationship management software and experience with client relationship management in the financial services industry; working with global equity and fixed income markets; utilizing expertise with latest developments in financial markets and regulation; utilizing experience with Investment Management Process including liaising with institutional asset managers; and utilizing experience with index data licensing. 10% travel required. Telecommuting and/or working from home may be permissible pursuant to company policies. When not telecommuting, must report to work site. In the alternative the employer will accept a Master’s degree in one of the above-listed fields and three (3) years of experience in the above-listed skills. Offered salary is between $162,000 to $185,000 per year. 40 hrs/wk.
