Vice President, General Manager

Medexec, are an Executive Search consultancy dedicated to hiring the future leaders of MedTech. We are partnered with a US based, global $Xbn orthopaedic brand that have made a recent acquisition and require a leader to build to build the global organization as VP, GM.

This post has development plans to C-Suite within 3-5 years. The remit is to oversee and lead a newly formed business within the group. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for driving the growth, developing the long-term strategy through effective leadership, strategic planning, and operational management.

Responsibilities:

• A key responsibility is to build out the global organization, responsible for developing the foundations and building and developing a commercial and operational team worldwide.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Provide leadership to the executive team and ensure effective collaboration and communication across all departments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external key stakeholders, including C-level customer groups, suppliers, and strategic partnerships.
• Develop and execute a strategic plan that supports the company's vision, mission, and long-term objectives
• Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, innovation, and employee growth and development.
• Monitor market trends and stay up to date on industry developments to identify potential opportunities for growth and expansion.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of the company and ensure that all processes and procedures are aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
• Manage financial performance and budgeting processes to ensure the company is increasing revenue margin goals.
• Leadership of the platforms P&L

Background:

• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Proven track record of driving growth and profitability in a global organization
• Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, business development, and operational management.
• Strong knowledge of the global orthopaedic market and industry trends
• Bachelor's degree in business, management, or a related field; MBA is preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior leadership role in the orthopaedic, surgery or medical device industry
