Overview
Mediar Therapeutics is seeking a dynamic leader and strategic thinker to become the Head of Clinical Operations for our growing organization. Reporting to the CMO, the Head of Clinical Operations will be a leader within the development organization and responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of three development programs. This would include building out the operational organization, managing vendors, and being a key voice in the creation of development plans for the assets.
Responsibilities
- Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks and develop & implement action plans to avoid or mitigate program risks and make appropriate trade-offs of balancing risks with study deliverables and costs.
- Identify, recruit and onboard members of the clinical operations team. Mentor those team members to set them and the company up for success.
- Vendor Management: Primary lead managing the Contract Research Organizations (CROs), vendors, and other third parties. Oversight of all clinical trial-related partners and vendors. Drive vendors to meet aggressive timelines, on budget, and hold them to account if they fall behind.
- Work with company senior leadership on the strategic direction for the programs
- Lead all operational aspects of cross functional clinical programs, including strategic planning, communication, coordination, delegation, and stepping into direct action as necessary to make sure goals are achieved on time and on budget.
Requirements
·15-20 years of clinical operations experience
·Advanced degree such as MBA or PhD
·Experience in leading a clinical operations organization for a biotech company
·Demonstrated ability to manage CROs and other third party vendors, to hold them accountable and meet company timelines, budgets and goals.
