Who We Are
- Building content that aligns coffeebar employees to Peet’s values
- Supports leadership development in the field
- Taking field feedback to streamline, improve and simplify training process
- Assessing compliance and skill gaps and translating into relevant learning for our retail employees
- Key people metrics improvement in the employee life cycle
- Supports communication, delivery and training of all retail operational goals into clear and understandable objectives for our coffeebars
- Developing the skills and knowledge of our coffeebar employees in all areas
- Partners to create content for DEIB, and HR initiatives quarterly.
- Measuring effectiveness of training tools, programs, and initiatives, adjusting as necessary reporting back quarterly .
- Own s a key role in training content, such as Store Manager, Shift Lead and Barista training design and development .
- Developing training aids such as handbooks, visuals aids, webinars, screencasts etc.
- Using data to drive improvement of training across key operational areas .
- Key stakeholder in leading and directing seasonal launches and test & learn initiatives.
- C ontinues education on training and instructional methodology .
- Tracking and reporting monthly and quarterly training attainment .
- Collaborates effectively with cross functional teams and field leadership to identify learning gaps and training needs.
- Review weekly, monthly, and quarterly audits and identify themes & trends to improve customer and employee experience .
- Developing an annual training implementation plan .
- Partnering with field leadership & hiring managers in the onboarding of new Home Office employees .
- Formulating training plans and determining instructional delivery methods ( i.e., coffeebar training, e-learning, videos, conference calls, meetings)
- Designing and facilitating new training programs that support core coffeebar programs as well as new initiatives .
- Stewards the success of our retail LMS platform design & content .
- E nsure training aligns to meet operational excellence expectations through a customer service analysis program.
- Leading retail development initiatives and programs.
- Supporting a nd assisting in the implementing of role change s for the field when applicable.
- Partnering with HR to maintain development tools for the field.
- Ensuring C ertified Training Store s (CTS) are equipped to deliver results whil e maintaining stable and supportive training environments .
- Maintaining and driving continuous improvement of training and store immersion plans for all leaders in the field .
- Creating and utilizing evaluation tools to measure the performance of CT S locations .
- A minimum of 2 years experience in training and development management (essential).
- Strategic and creative mindset.
- Critical thinker with proven ability to make quality decisions innovative problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field or equivalent training in adult learning courses .
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Able to travel up to 40 % of the ti me.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Proven team player
- Must reside within a commutable distance (~ less than 50 miles) to Peet’s corporate headquarters with the expectation of 3 days/week in Emeryville, CA .
- Industry/Retail coffee experience .
- T rack record of developing and executing successful training programs and able to share work product .
- Highly computer literate with proficiency in MS Office , LMS platforms and related business and communication tools.
- Fantastic organizational and time management skills.
- Familiar with traditional and modern training processes and systems .
- Proven adult learning approach with facilitation experience .
