Location: Candidates must live within 4 hours of all three of the most frequently visited locations: Des Moines, Waterloo, and Moline.
Assess training needs, obtains or develops programs and delivers various courses. May collaborate with unit or functional leaders on training strategy and other strategic training and development activities. This is a well-grounded, middle level seasoned training professional.
Duties:
- Implements raining requirements related to Enterprise projects such as Performance Management or Succession Planning.
- May provide work direction to others in the department.
- Assists with the completion of employee training plans working with managers and employees to identify potential developmental gaps and opportunities to close those gaps.
- Participates in strategic planning and budget discussions and provides ongoing monitoring of the strategic plan and budget.
- Assesses training needs to determine skill or behavioral gaps and develops or obtains programs aimed at closing those gaps. Also, is certified to deliver various courses developed within the Company such as Train the Trainer courses or those courses obtained externally.
- Assists in establishing/monitoring training costs and forecasting training needs for future growth.
- Prepares instructional materials and job aids for courses.
- Strives to improve employee relations through various development programs to welcome new hires, romote teamwork, and increase employee retention.
Specific Position Requirements:

Schedule: Candidates must live within 4 hours of all three of the most frequently visited locations: Des Moines, Waterloo, and Moline. When not traveling, they will work remotely.
These positions will deliver In-person and virtual trainings to employees. They will be responsible for delivering pre-existing content virtually or in-person to develop and inspire the leaders of tomorrow. Delivery audience will range from production employees to executive level.
These positions will need to manage multiple personality types, questions and the unexpected events that can occur during instruction and travel. These positions require excellent project management skills and an in-depth understanding of common business training techniques.
Responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Plan and coordinate proper venues, timing, and modality.
- Maintain attendance logs, incident reports, and other necessary records.
- Deliver engaging training that is inclusive, interactive and provides a quality learning experience for all in attendance. Ability to adjust delivery based on audience feedback and changing circumstances.
- Maintain program data and tools to train staff and others.
- Coordinate travel as needed for delivery sessions.
- Collaborate with others to improve and evolve the delivery of programs based on best practices and participant feedback.
- Make recommendations to training agenda or curriculum, as necessary.
- Liaise with departments to manage and assign training programs.
Travel Requirements: 30-40% - Frequently visited Des Moines, Waterloo, and Moline
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience delivering training curriculum
- Must have experience with planning and coordinating training and event schedules.
- Experience facilitating difficult conversations, reframing the question, and course correcting as needed.
- 2-4 years of experience using virtual training software such as Teams or Zoom
