Parsons is seeking a Training Specialist to join our team in developing and enhancing a cutting-edge biosurveillance platform. The successful candidate will have a strong background in training and education, experience in agile development methodologies, and an understanding of nowcasting models and forecasting techniques. As a Training Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that stakeholders are well-equipped to utilize the platform effectively, ultimately contributing to the advancement of our biosurveillance efforts.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and materials, making necessary adjustments to improve learning outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction.
• Stay current with the latest developments in nowcasting models, high-dimensional inference methods, and forecasting ensembling techniques, ensuring that training materials and resources are up-to-date.
• Conduct training sessions and workshops for stakeholders, providing hands-on guidance and addressing any questions or concerns related to the platform's functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data input/outputs, metrics, and development storyboards for new features and improvements, ensuring that training materials accurately reflect platform capabilities.
• Participate in the development of new features and enhancements for the biosurveillance platform, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to agile development methodologies.
• Generate test data or access data through Data Use Agreements (DUAs) to create realistic training scenarios and examples for stakeholders to better understand platform capabilities.
• Develop comprehensive training materials and resources for stakeholders, including user guides, tutorials, and instructional videos, to support the effective use of the biosurveillance platform.
• Apply resources effectively to adapt technology to the biosurveillance platform, working closely with the engineering and development teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in training and education, with a focus on biosurveillance or related applications.
• Proven experience in developing and delivering training materials and resources using agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with nowcasting models, high-dimensional inference methods, and forecasting ensembling techniques.
• Experience working with complex data sets and collaborating with cross-functional teams to define data input/outputs, metrics, and development storyboards.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to adapt training materials and resources to meet the needs of diverse stakeholders.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in education, training, public health, or a related field.

Salary Range:

$32.88 - $57.55
