About the Opportunity
GCG is looking for a skilled Training & Development Specialist to join our growing Talent team! In this remote role, you will use your organizational, time management, communication, planning, instructional design, and learning facilitation skills to help us ensure the smooth and effective functioning of training events and special learning and development projects.
Your duties will include managing the talent organization training calendar as well as scheduling and managing both live and virtual learning events; working with Marketing, Internal Communications and Talent Development partners to write and send announcements and other communications regarding learning events; maintaining a library of learning and development resources on the company intranet as well as in the Learning Management System (LMS); and administering the LMS.
What you’ll do
- Collaborate with Talent team colleagues to develop educational aids and materials for key Talent Management initiatives, including but not limited to performance management, talent review, leadership development, and management training
- Administer and update the LMS, including managing catalog, content, and training records
- Inform employees about available training opportunities to and provide necessary information
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and liaise with subject matter experts regarding instructional design
- Serve as virtual instruction platform administrator and host for all virtual training events; provide learner support and troubleshooting during virtual training sessions
- Review and organize training plans٫ and assist in the design and development of corporate training programs
- Schedule, manage, and facilitate virtual training events
- Distribute surveys following learning events and prepare reports determining the response and impact of learning programs
- Support projects driven by the Organizational Development Manager and Talent team as assigned
What you’ll bring
- Outstanding communication and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple high-priority assignments
- Excellent working knowledge in MS Office (especially PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams)
- Bachelor’s degree within business administration, business management, or other relevant fields.
- 2+ years experience in corporate training, learning and development, or talent management
- Experience creating DEI content is highly preferred.
- Experience with interactive virtual instructor-led training platforms (Microsoft Teams preferred)
- Experience with learning management systems
- Experience coordinating multiple training programs and events
- Experience in course authoring tools is preferred (Storyline, Rise 360, Adobe Captivate, etc.)
