As a Tier 1 Salesforce Administrator at Octo, you would support a multi-year, high-profile software development project in support of the Department of Veterans Affairs. This Salesforce Administrator is expected to have a strong background in Salesforce administration and development in a high-demand customer success environment. Responsibilities may include managing security, troubleshooting, and end-user support. Program Mission...

The Digital Transformation Center (DTC) supports Veterans Affairs (VA) with onboarding and maintaining enterprise SaaS and PaaS solutions used to support the mission of serving our Veterans and their associated stakeholders. We are digitizing information and processes for improved implementation, leveraging modern tools and low code/no code for reusability and faster delivery.

Responsibilities...

  • Create reports in Salesforce.com to meet operational requirements including maintaining a standard set of queries/reports to satisfy requirements; validate queries/reports created by others in the organization and assist in the interpretation of data. Provide meaningful and actionable intelligence to our business groups.
  • Closing out tier 1 cases which include user creations, dashboard/report clean up, and end-user support issues.
  • Train/support end users with the use of the SFDC application and act as an escalation point for internal SFDC issues.
  • Support the daily cross-functional operational readiness of VA’s shared Salesforce.com platform.
  • Manage security, users, roles, profiles, groups, queues, and other Salesforce.com setup options, as necessary.
  • Maintain the integrity of services integrated with our cloud environments, including proprietary in-house systems and external integrations.

Requirements...

  • Highly skilled in interpersonal and verbal/written communications, presentations, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to obtain a government security clearance.
  • 1+ years of Help desk or other experience working in a customer service capacity and some Salesforce administration experience.
  • Experience with the SFDC business workflow (different entities like opportunity, leads, account, assets, etc.
  • Must be able to communicate both verbally and in written form.
  • Must be able to use a computer.
  • Must have reliable internet service that allows for effective telecommuting.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Bachelor’s degree or 4 years equivalent work experience.
  • Certified Salesforce Administrator (required); other Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer I, Advanced Administrator, Community Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant) a plus.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on cross-functional teams.

Years of Experience: 1+ years of customer service experience and some Salesforce administration experience.

Education: BA/BS degree or 4 years of relevant experience.

Location: Remote within the United States. Must have reliable internet service that allows for effective telecommuting.

Clearance: Ability to obtain government clearance. Must be eligible to work in the United States.
