Technical System Analyst Jobs

The Technical Systems Analyst is responsible for developing a comprehensive IT system knowledge of E2E IT operational ecosystem generally to help develop high quality software that achieves the desired outcomes for our client. This role will create IT system requirements documents, IT user stories (Enablers/Non Functional) and related IT test case/test scripts, and other documents in the software development cycle.

Job Functions:

• Use tools such as Postman to assist with integration testing
• Understand multiple integrations including triggers, timing, directionality and data exchanged
• Elicit input from multiple stakeholders and synthesize feedback to create technical work products and drive outcomes
• Triage and fix integration related defects
• Understand and be able use SQL to pull data and calculate metrics to answer research questions by end users
• Facilitate deliverable review sessions, and participate in agile ceremonies
• Contribute to maintaining an environment where continuous improvement of the development process is in focus and where everyone’s common goal is to deliver outstanding software as fast as possible
• Perform code reviews and provide suggestions for fixes and improvements
• Translate and simplify requirements to better enable those less familiar with the subject matter to be successful
• Work with developers directly to remediate defects and clarify testing objectives
• Create high quality, comprehensive work products, such as : IT system requirements, technical specifications, test cases, source to target mappings and technical test scripts.
• Work side by side with IT end users to evaluate IT requirements and resolve conflicts
• Work with automated testing team to ensure full coverage between automated and manual functional testing

Qualifications:

• Team oriented; collaborates well with team members as well as customers
• Working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook)
• Experience with Agile software development methodology
• Proven ability to learn new business concepts and skills quickly
• Experience with XML & JSON web services and flat file integrations
• Strong attention to detail with proven analytical and problem-solving skills
• 5+ years of related experience in IT systems analysis
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Can easily shift focus between high priority tasks as required
• Experience in writing or executing quality assurance test cases with a focus on TDD
• Must be able/eligible to obtain a High Public Trust Clearance
