Senior Business System Analyst

A Senior Business Systems Analyst will capture functional and technical requirements necessary to accomplish a modification to a software system or development of a new system, and create the solution design document to carry out requested modifications. They are responsible for recommending the order of system modifications based on business value that they are the subject matter expert on. They will work with business analysis management, development teams, project managers and other internal and external parties as needed to help facilitate the successful completion of company projects and initiatives.

Fully Remote, Medical, Dental, Vision and 401K, 168hrs PTO.

Pay does vary : $130k to 160k with bonus.

Plus annual bonus.

Essential Job Functions:

· Conducts elicitation of project requirements, ensures the correct stakeholders are involved, and creates an environment where stakeholders participate and contribute

· Creates project documentation including requirements break downs, current state and operational flow chart diagrams, meeting minutes, solution designs, and project status updates

· Facilitates the approvals from IT Management and stakeholders on project requirements and project decisions

· Responsible for collecting, managing, and facilitating change requests

· Actively documents project risks and creates plans to handle the risks as they arise

· Produces status updates to IT Management and stakeholders including timelines and upcoming activities

Provides input to IT Management in setting priorities and the order of the work to be done

Required:

• SQL and SQL Queries
• 5+ years’ experience in business analysis
• Knowledge of SDLC and how it pertains to software releases
• Experience in direct support of business organizations
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience
• Analytic and logical thinking

· Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

• Must work well in a team environment
• MS Office and knowledge of diagraming tools including Visio, Gliffy, and Balsamiq
• Knowledge of flow charts including both business and system flows and of programming logic and code
• Must be able to learn independently

Strong understanding of the following

• Waterfall and Agile methodologies
• Difference between functional and Technical
• Swim Lane Diagram
• Gap Analysis
