Job Description

In our commitment to deliver boundary-breaking projects and products to our EV clients, we are looking for someone to drive technical business development as a Sales Engineer.

The work includes qualifying prospective client technical needs, writing proposals, and supporting deal closure and hand-off to project managers.


A Day in the Life...

  • Support deal closure by addressing technical concerns, demonstrating product capabilities, and participating in contract terms.
  • Facilitate a smooth hand-off to the project team (project manager, engineers, technicians) after deal closure, ensuring clear communication of client technical requirements, project scope and any underlying engineering concerns.
  • Work with the engineering teams to assess projects and address any technical concerns. Your strong understanding of battery systems and vehicle technology will be critical to asking the right questions.
  • Understand, from an engineering perspective, the steps required to complete the project. This position will ask great questions in meetings to discover the technical challenges of a project, and work with the client to develop a proposal to complete the project.
  • Write and submit comprehensive, compelling, and competitive proposals that effectively communicate the value proposition of our BMS, controls, and other products and services.
  • Work with new clients to understand the technical needs of a project.
  • Qualify a prospective client’s technical needs by thoroughly understanding their requirements and determining the feasibility of our EV-enablement solutions in meeting those needs.


What You Bring:

  • Proven experience in technical sales, systems engineering, or a similar role, preferably within the battery, automotive, aviation, or marine industries..
  • Demonstrated business development acumen with the ability to identify opportunities, build relationships, and close deals.
  • Passion for electric vehicles and a commitment to driving the adoption of sustainable transportation solutions.


What Makes You Stand Out:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Powertrain Engineering or a related field.
  • Energetic and confident speaking with clients about highly technical topics.
  • Technical knowledge and understanding of BMS technologies, electric vehicles, and battery systems.
