Who we are
TeachFX is an edtech startup with a mission of superpowering teachers’ work and advancing equity in the classroom. The TeachFX app uses AI to show educators personalized insights about the learning dynamics in their classroom. We help teachers understand which of their instructional practices - their questioning technique, lesson design, or use of wait time, uptake of student contributions, and other high-leverage strategies - are making the greatest positive impact on student engagement and equity in the classroom. We pair our app with inquiry-based professional learning workshops designed to build teacher capacity by leveraging TeachFX data in a continuous improvement cycle that brings research into practice and builds more student-centered classrooms.
We are a growing, mission-driven team and are looking for a short-term Technical Recruiter who shares our passion for student engagement and equity in education. As a Technical Recruiter at TeachFX, you’ll enable us to quickly build out the technical team we need to take our company to the next level by hiring Machine Learning Engineers, a Product Designer, a User Researcher and more. Your efforts will directly contribute to shaping the future of educational technology and empowering educators worldwide.
We’re backed by best-in-class investors including Ulu Ventures, Newfund, Brighteye Ventures, Reach Capital, Pearson Ventures and Osage Venture Partners. We’ve been remote since the pandemic started and plan to support a remote-first work environment for all our team members for the foreseeable future. This role can be based anywhere in the US and will involve little to no travel.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with candidates, providing a seamless, positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process, regardless of whether an offer is made.
- Build and nurture a diverse pipeline of candidates, focusing on inclusion and equity at every step of the hiring process.
- Stay current with industry trends, competitive intelligence, and best practices in recruitment.
- Collaborate closely with hiring managers (especially our CTO and Head of Research) to understand TeachFX’s technical hiring needs, company culture and team dynamics.
- Lead candidate sourcing and screening processes and manage the overall recruitment process from start to finish, ensuring we’re getting great candidates through the funnel as quickly as possible.
- Rapidly develop and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies to identify and attract top-tier product and engineering talent.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine job descriptions and hiring criteria as needed, ensuring alignment with evolving company needs.

- Able to quickly and successfully hire key technical roles, particularly within Machine Learning, Product Management, Product Design, and User Research.
- A great communicator, with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to quickly build rapport with candidates and hiring teams.
