Position Summary :
Working from home, the Teaching Services Supervisor role will focus on teacher effectiveness and student success. Responsibilities for this role include hiring and onboarding, professional development, daily supervision and evaluation for staff, managing customer relationships, and departmental projects as assigned. The Supervisor will report to the Manager of Teaching Operations.
Primary Responsibilities :
Interview, hire, train, and supervise a team of direct reports staff members who work fromtheir homes and teach students online;
Ensure and monitor intervention in the case of low student participation/performance;
Collaborate with Pearson colleagues to develop and implement policies and procedures;
Communicate and collaborate effectively with Connections Academy school leaders and Teacher Managers to ensure fullimplementation of program policies and procedures by staff;
Conduct performance evaluations by providing high-qualitywritten and verbal feedback on a regular basis;
Ensure that staff exhibit and maintain a high level of professionalism, instructionalsupport, and customer service;
Maintain a high level of communication with staff, meeting as scheduled, to ensure compliance with departmental and program expectations, facilitate team collaboration, and to provide support;
Assist direct reports in the understanding of certification and professional development requirements and monitor to ensure completion;
Assist staff with implementing any program changes and/or new software applications;
Develop and host training sessions for staff as needed;
Assist the Leadership Team in creating IA’s and documents for assignments and communications with schools;
Develop and maintain a positive working relationship between the Teaching Services team and the schools and programs they are serving;
Exemplify the company’s values; and
Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements :
Minimum of 3 years teaching experience (virtual teaching experience preferred)
Experience supervising substitutes or teachers in an academic setting preferred.
Master’s degree in a related field preferred
Valid teaching credential required (any state)
Strong leadership qualities and a commitment to accountability toward studentperformance outcomes
Proven ability to analyze and interpret performance-based data
Comfortable presenting information to both small and large groups
Technologically proficient (especially with the use of Microsoft Office and Google Apps)
Customer focused approach, with excellent communication skills, both oral and written·
Innovative and creative problem solver, with a high degree of adaptability and flexibility to shift priorities
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-pacedenvironment
Team player- demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues and delegateresponsibility to accomplish objectives

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the Colorado, California, Washington State, New York State and New York City laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
The minimum full-time salary range is between $45,000 - $50,000.
