UNIT TECH

• East Tennessee Children's Hospital will improve the health of children through exceptional, comprehensive family-centered care, wellness, and education.

• Accurately performs tasks involving specific nursing care for patients delegated by and performed under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse. Acts as a receptionist/secretary and is responsible for the smooth and efficient performance of clerical activities on an assigned nursing unit during a designated shift.

• Nursing Assistant and/or 6 months experience or training required.
• NAHUC Certification encouraged.
• High School Diploma/GED preferred
• Minimum Work Experience

  • BLS required within 90 days of hire and required to be maintained throughout employment.

• Heavy lifting, pushing and pulling is required up to 50 lbs occasionally, 20-30 lbs frequently and 10 lbs constantly to move objects of up to 150 lbs. Sudden emergency situations have the potential for exposure to lifting or moving of up to 150 lbs. Frequent bending, walking, sitting, squatting, reaching and standing are required. Keyboard/computer use and/or repetitive motions may be required.
