Overview Unit Techs are responsible for providing technical support for a variety of medical equipment and systems. They are responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining medical equipment, as well as providing technical support to medical staff. Detailed Job Description Unit Techs are responsible for providing technical support for a variety of medical equipment and systems. This includes troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining medical equipment, as well as providing technical support to medical staff. Unit Techs must be able to diagnose and repair a variety of medical equipment, including but not limited to: ventilators, infusion pumps, monitors, and other medical devices. They must also be able to provide technical support to medical staff, including but not limited to: providing training on the use of medical equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing technical advice. Job Skills Required Unit Techs must have a strong technical background, with knowledge of a variety of medical equipment and systems. They must also have excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, as well as strong communication and customer service skills. Job Qualifications Unit Techs must have a high school diploma or equivalent. They must also have experience with medical equipment and systems, as well as experience providing technical support. Job Knowledge Unit Techs must have a strong knowledge of medical equipment and systems, as well as a strong understanding of medical terminology. They must also have a strong understanding of customer service and communication. Job Experience Unit Techs must have at least two years of experience working with medical equipment and systems. Job Responsibilities Unit Techs are responsible for providing technical support for a variety of medical equipment and systems. This includes troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining medical equipment, as well as providing technical support to medical staff.
