Strategic Assistant to the EVP North America will put details into perspective and formalize them into the bigger picture. He/she will conceptualize problems and develop solutions in line with the company’s business model. He/she will identify key impacts and implications of market requirements and business events and will turn them into opportunities. He/she makes arguments in a compelling manner and that will cause his/her people and customers to listen and understand his/her messages.

Responsibilities:

• Formulate feasible recommendations to EVP North America and the Executive Team on how to optimize growth, improve processes and obtain efficiencies.
• Assisting in planning and directing Rittal’ s strategic short- mid- and long-term goals.
• Collaborates across divisions to understand drivers and barriers for growth. Presents recommendations to the EVP North America & Executive Team on how to leverage these drivers for success in the organization.
• Reflects the culture of Rittal in interactions with internal and external contacts.
• Builds strong relationships with key stakeholders at Rittal LLC and at headquarters in Germany to ensure strategy is aligned with domestic & global initiatives.
• Provides on-going business support to the EVP North America, including presentations, reports, research, and other pertinent matters.
• Conducts organizational reviews to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for growth.
• Supports development and leverage talent to advance strategic priorities and create a performance-oriented culture.
• Develop business plans that support and introduce solutions for strategic issues that impact the company.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Knowledge & Experience:

• Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
• Prefer 3 years of experience working for an industrial manufacturer.
• Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement
• A four-year degree from a college/university required.
• Three to five to years of experience in a role with strategic planning responsibility.
• Must demonstrate a high degree of knowledge on business practices, ability to research complex topics, and present complex topics in concise terms.
• Must have intermediate to advanced knowledge with Microsoft Office programs including Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
