Company Description

About us, but we’ll be brief

Experian is the world’s leading global information services company, unlocking the power of data to create more opportunities for consumers, businesses and society. We are thrilled to share that FORTUNE has named Experian one of the 100 Best Companies to work for. In addition, for the last five years we’ve been named in the 100 “World’s Most Innovative Companies” by Forbes Magazine.

Experian Consumer Services is looking for a Senior Product Manager to join the Experian Insurance Services team (formerly known as Gabi). Our team is on a mission to make the process of finding the best home and auto insurance easy, straightforward, and transparent. We’re serious about building and using technology to save our customers money, time, and hassle, and we are looking for an experienced technical product manager who is just as passionate about helping consumers improve their financial lives as we are.

Expanding our automation tools for insurance quoting and enrollment is a key growth driver for our business, and this highly impactful role will operate in an entrepreneurial, collaborative environment. If you are a driven product manager who loves building scalable ML/automation platforms, expanding our 3rd party integration suite, and moving fast, this position is for you! This role can be based out of San Francisco or remote. Come join us!

What you’ll be doing

  • You thrive as someone who learns quickly, works well independently and with others, and above all gets stuff done. Our team moves fast and is not afraid of failure if it teaches us something
  • You’ll be contributing towards significant, product-defining features within your first few weeks, overseeing features from wireframes to finished product. Specifically, this role will focus on optimizing carrier integrations via APIs and bots and drive enhancements to support business growth
  • You’ll be developing deep expertise in key aspects of our product, the personal insurance market, and competitive landscape over your first few months, establishing yourself as a product leader on the team
  • You are a strong advocate for data-driven decision-making and user research.
  • Technical acumen and attention to detail are musts for this role, and you will leverage your product sense to optimize existing quoting engine and continue to improve KPIs in this critical area
  • You’ll drive ruthless prioritization to ensure we’re shipping products that are delivering value to our users along with performance metrics.

Qualifications

What your background looks like

  • Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Results-oriented, willing and able to be in the driver seat
  • Experience with building ML models to improve user experience is a plus
  • Must be an expert in making decisions using insights and data - but also comfortable to make difficult decisions under ambiguity and time pressure
  • 5+ years of product management experience, preferably with a proven track record of building and shipping technical products in FinTech or InsureTech
  • Experience in managing conversion funnels, onboarding, advisory, and transactional flows

Perks

  • Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits package, with a bonus target of 15%
  • 3 weeks of vacation to start, five sick days and two volunteer days (plus twelve paid holidays)
  • Flexible work schedule and relaxed dress code
  • This role can be 100% remote or you can choose to work out of an Experian office.
