While other charging facilities are currently available in North America, the concept introduced by Mercedes-Benz will offer drivers something more. And not only for its customers, but also for customers driving other brands of vehicles.

What You’ll do:
The Head of Consumer Offerings will be a key member of the High Power Charging NA leadership team, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for defining and shaping the EV charging consumer journey across dealerships, digital platforms, in-car interfaces, and charging sites, driving consumer offering logic and pricing strategies, and ensuring optimal utilization of the charging network to meet revenue targets. The Head of Consumer Offerings will be a highly collaborative role, owning the responsibility of imbuing the highest level of consumer experience for both the B2C customer, as well as B2B across the whole Mercedes-Benz High Power Charging group, including product, sales, marketing, and communications. The role will establish key customer satisfaction metrics, benchmark against competitors, and cultivate strategic partnerships to enhance the EV charging ecosystem's value proposition, ultimately contributing to Mercedes-Benz's pioneering role in sustainable and innovative electric mobility.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Consumer Offering Logic and Pricing: Define and refine the consumer offerings for both B2C and B2B segments, ensuring they are attractive, competitive, and aligned with market trends. Set dynamic pricing structures to optimize network utilization while maximizing revenue.
  • Network Utilization and Revenue Targets: Take ownership of charging network utilization, ensuring optimal usage across various locations and customer types. Develop and execute strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets associated with the network. Own forecast for utilization and work with finance team to track performance versus plan, including initiatives, investments, and subsequent budgets to increase utilization over time.
  • Mercedes-Benz Dealership Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with Mercedes-Benz dealerships to integrate EV charging offerings seamlessly into the overall customer experience. Collaborate with dealership networks to develop joint marketing and promotional initiatives that drive customer awareness and adoption of EV charging services. Identify and establish strategic partnerships with relevant industry stakeholders, technology providers, and service providers to enhance the value proposition of our EV charging network.
  • Marketing and Communications: Collaborate closely with marketing and communications teams to develop compelling messaging, campaigns, and promotional activities that drive consumer engagement and brand loyalty.
  • Market and Competitive Analysis: Stay current with EV charging industry trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape to inform decision-making and refine offerings. Conduct ongoing benchmarking activities to analyze competitor offerings and best-in-class practices in the EV charging industry. Leverage insights from benchmarking to identify opportunities for differentiation, innovation, and continuous improvement in our consumer offerings.
  • Customer Engagement and Community Development: Build a strong and engaged EV charging community by creating programs, events, and initiatives that foster customer loyalty, encourage advocacy, and promote sustainable mobility.
  • Consumer Journey Mapping: Develop a deep understanding of the end-to-end consumer journey, identifying touchpoints and opportunities to enhance customer experience, from initial awareness to post-charging engagement. Focus on creating a seamless, delightful, and market leading EV charging consumer journey for both Mercedes-Benz drivers, as well as other vehicle brands.
  • B2B Development: Establish relationships with CPOs, OEMs, eMSPs and other strategic partners to secure new business and long-term agreements for the Company. Identify, create, and manage B2B partner relations with CPOs and eMSPs, including plug-and-charge partnerships, roaming strategies, and other business agreements with major accounts. Determine a B2B offering logic and set a pricing policy. Build lasting and strong relationships with partners and customers.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, operations, sales, marketing, communications, and external affairs to align consumer offerings with business objectives and ensure seamless execution. Serve as main point person for collaboration with MBUSA and the larger dealership network.
  • Key Customer Satisfaction and Engagement Metrics: Define and implement robust customer satisfaction and engagement metrics to measure the effectiveness of consumer offerings and identify areas for improvement. Establish a systematic process for collecting, analyzing, and acting on customer feedback to enhance the overall charging experience. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to customer satisfaction, usage patterns, and engagement, and use data-driven insights to refine strategies.
  • End to End Customer Experience Ownership: Represent Mercedes-Benz High Power Charging to lead efforts to ensure a seamless and consistent customer experience across various touchpoints, including dealerships, digital platforms, in-car interfaces, and physical charging locations. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product and technology, to design and implement user-friendly interfaces, easy-to-navigate digital platforms, and intuitive in-car charging controls. Collaborate on overseeing the design and layout of charging sites to ensure they are user-friendly, safe, and reflect the Mercedes-Benz brand values.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
  • Proven expertise in benchmarking and competitive analysis, staying abreast of industry trends and best practices to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire cross-functional teams, influence stakeholders, and lead the execution of complex initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and project finances.
  • Successful history of fostering strategic partnerships and collaborative relationships with external stakeholders to enhance product offerings and customer experiences.
  • Extensive experience in collaborating directly with dealerships and/or car companies, demonstrating a deep understanding of their operations, customer interactions, and integration of offerings.
  • A passion for sustainable mobility and electric vehicles, coupled with a forward-thinking mindset to navigate the evolving landscape of the EV charging industry.
  • Fluency in conceiving of a UX driven product vision and clearly articulating it to partners and stakeholders, inspiring and influencing those stakeholders towards common goals and outcomes.
  • Proven track record of successfully driving revenue growth and developing innovative consumer offerings that have enhanced customer engagement and satisfaction.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in senior marketing roles, consumer offering management, or product-related leadership positions within the automotive, ev charging, clean energy or related industries.
  • Presence to interface with external stakeholders and customers alike, articulating ideas clearly and compellingly for those with less market background.
  • Impeccable attention to detail, a commitment to excellence, and a results-driven approach to achieving organizational objectives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate ambiguity, make informed decisions, and drive projects to successful completion.
  • Strong analytical acumen with the ability to translate market insights into actionable strategies, leveraging data to refine consumer offerings and achieve business objectives.
