Job Summary


As a Sr. Product Manager II within the Ad Platform technology team at DMED, you will be a part of the team redefining Multi-Media advertising. You will be responsible for establishing product strategy, defining requirements consumable for engineering and driving execution to establish the Addressable and Cross-Platform Billing and Invoicing platform’s future. Key Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with Engineering and Program Management team members to efficiently execute against the product roadmap deliverables within the defined timelines, & budgets.
  • Product Delivery: Own your team's execution of the product roadmap, including business cases, user stories, and UX/UI experience, in an agile develop environment.
  • Organize and execute product User Acceptance Testing and product release planning.
  • User Advocate: Hold a deep compassion for our users, and creatively tackle problems with a user-first mentality. Provide guidance on product priorities and delivery schedule to optimize business value and speed to market.
  • Own and drive the product strategy, requirements definition, backlog creation, and roadmap for the digital advertising platform billing and invoicing product capabilities.
  • Product Expert: Intimately know the products you are supporting, user workflows and how they relate with the “Quote to Cash” revenue lifecycle and supporting technical stack.
  • Ability to develop detailed, actionable product requirements to ensure your business, architecture, engineering, and QA partners have a clear picture of the product capabilities to be built and how to validate they are functioning as designed.


Qualifications


  • Experience shipping multiple products in an agile software development environment with on/off shore agile teams
  • 7+ years in an Accounting/Finance software product management role with direct experience in building Accounting related products.
  • Proven understanding of systems architecture, design, and implementation
  • Strong analytical skills and passionate about answering questions with data
  • Have a do what it takes attitude. Be flexible, adaptable and a team-player first
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in product management, preferably in video & advertising technology.
  • Maintains a deep empathy for our users, and wants to creatively solve problems with a user-first mentality


Business Justification


  • The role will support the Analysis, Requirements, and Product Management of the Addressable Accounting and Billing capabilities for the Addressable Unified Ad Platform and the Launch of the Ad Supported Disney + streaming service.
  • This Role is necessary as the current product capabilities within the Ad Platforms product suite do not support the complex requirements of supporting Multi Brand, Multi Media direct and self-service billing and invoicing requirements including Disney +.
  • The impact of not filling this role is the risk of not meeting the Accounting and Billing requirements of the Disney accounting and finance organizations or our Advertising partners.


The hiring range for this position in Santa Monica, CA is $149,240 - $200,200 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
