About The Team
Our Design System provides the UX foundation for our client experiences spanning both the Buyer and Seller sides of our marketplace on Native Apps and Web. We enable product teams to build customer-centric experiences that Keep Commerce Human, using shared design and code libraries with brand-aligned components and patterns. The team’s responsibilities range from building components, patterns and tools, crafting documentation, coaching teams on how to use the system, and empowering users to create experiences that are accessible to all of Etsy’s customers. Our core customers include internal Designers and Engineers, with whom we collaborate to build better experiences for our shared external customers, Etsy's Buyers and Sellers.
About The Role
Our client is looking for a project manager to support our Design Systems team for 6 months while their product manager is on parental leave. Your primary focus will be on project delivery: supporting the team in hitting target milestones; helping organize the work and clearing a path; facilitating meetings and contributing to sprint planning; communicating progress to stakeholders; partnering with leads to rework plans, if needed, as new information arises; defining goals through an OKR framework. You will collaborate closely with the team’s engineering manager and design lead. This role reports into the Group Product Manager for the UX Foundation initiative, who you will also partner with to elevate any product needs or concerns.

What you’ll be working on
Must-Haves

• Close attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a high-volume, dynamic work environment.
• You have experience working with internal customers and stakeholders across cross-functional teams.
• You are proficient with project management tools, ideally Jira and Google Workspace, or otherwise comfortable picking up new tools.
• You are capable of quickly distilling information and turning it into action.
• You love teamwork and have a natural ability to lead cross-functional teams through ambiguity.
• You have outstanding organizational and communication skills when crafting project plans, documentation, and associated tasks.

Nice-to-Haves

• Product management skills (i.e. strategy development, prioritization, data analysis, etc.)
• Technical background, especially related to design systems or other frontend frameworks
• Experience working at a medium to large size tech company
