The Enterprise Services Compute and Connectivity Platform Organization designs, implements and operates a state-of-the-art Information Systems Infrastructure serving around 110,000 employees, in over 650 locations across 65 plus countries. We deliver services that connect, host, virtualize, store, collaborate, integrate, compute and transact business solutions that utilizes cloud first, automation, analytics, “as a Service”, BIG data and software defined.

Server Operations Team Lead will be responsible for leading and engaging in operational support of Server Infrastructure for >15,000 servers at Honeywell. You provide a lead support role for a team who engages in Windows & Linux Server Administration (Windows 2019/2016/2012 Operating Systems & *NIX), storage, virtualization and backup. This role includes time zone-based incident commander leadership activities and prioritization of work for direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for Operational support of Honeywell compute Infrastructure
• Participate in calls with other members to address and troubleshoot application and or infrastructure related issues
• Engagement in Incident Commander efforts for CIS team on a rotational basis
• Oversee troubleshooting of performance issues related to virtualized workloads, applications and other compute Infrastructure.
• Maintain team SLA’s on incident response and problem management activities
• Facilitate moving of workloads to/from on-prem cloud to off-prem cloud / SaaS

Travel of up to 15% may be expected

YOU MUST HAVE

• 1+ years of experience with LINUX/AIX/*NIX OS
• 2+ years of experience in the operational support of a diverse, large-scale enterprise server ecosystem
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• 2+ years of Windows or Linux operating systems administration background
• 1+ years of experience with Windows Server 2019/2016/2012 OS
• US Citizenship due to contractual requirements
• 2+ years of experience with ServiceNow or another similar formal Service Management platform and/or methodology

• 2+ years of experience with VMware virtualization HCI platforms such as Nutanix or VXrail
• 2+ years of experience in implementing, managing and supporting large-scale VMware Virtualized platforms (on-prem, cloud, hybrid)
• A bachelor’s Degree; preferably in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or Business-Related Discipline or 3 plus years of experience within large scale distributed systems support environments
• Effectively demonstrates ability to deliver on complex situations or problems without guidance or supervision
• 1+ years of knowledge of Server automation tools (CHEF, Powershell,or other)
• Excellent oral, written and collaborative communication skills, including executive level communications
• Strong interpersonal skills - effective listening and teaming
