Sr Engineer - Network Services

Overview:

The Network Services Sr. Engineer is responsible for supporting and administering Wendy's data and voice networks. Primary duties will include maintenance of data and voice networks, hardware and software, troubleshooting escalated connectivity issues, vendor and partner coordination, and maintaining the data security integrity for the enterprise. The Engineer will work closely with company service providers, third party vendors, and contractors to identify, escalate, and resolve potential issues and problems. This position requires both technical and process management abilities.

• Performs an integral role in the development of processes and training to better support network, security, and voice systems.
• Serves as a consultant to various teams when questions arise on the best use of the various communication technologies available. Research and evaluate new hardware and technology.
• Follows standard processes for systems/service implementation and maintenance. Provides feedback, when necessary, on those processes to the individual(s) responsible for their design.
• Calibrates with Managed Services Providers to create, audit, manage standard firewall configurations supporting the Enterprise.
• Provides third level support for network, security,and voice services.
• Supports vendor management & troubleshooting for Enterprise Managed Service Providers, Help Desks, etc.

• Relevant industry certifications (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto) are preferred
• 2 or more years focused on firewalls, voice, routing, and switching
• Education: Bachelors Degree is preferred
• Experience with VoIP, POTS, data center cabling
• Strong coordination skills to work with Managed Service Providers and vendors
• Experience with Fortinet, Palo Alto and Cisco platforms
• Strong analytical skills with good verbal and written communication abilities
• 6-10 years in Information Technology
• Advanced network troubleshooting experience, understanding of network operation and TCP/IP

Education: High School Diploma/GED

Travel: 10%

Pay Range: $73,000 - $124,000 Annually
