Network Engineer I Jobs

Summary: Responsible for administrative support and implementation of IT projects, to include but not limited to, collaboration and implementation for software and service solutions, upgrades and migrations. Qualifications: Education: Associate's Degree in Computer Science. Licenses/Certifications: Valid Ohio's Driver's License. CompTIA Network + and Cisco CCENT preferred. Experience: Two years of on-premise server and/or network administration experience. Experience with firewalls, Palo Alto, VMWare and SIEM. Experience monitoring a network with Solarwinds. Or equivalent combination of education and experience. Essential Functions:

• Ability to effectively present information to individuals one-on-one or a small group setting.
• Assists with monitoring the Web Filter and adding exceptions for required traffic.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Assists with tracking updates and repairs. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Daily monitoring of Solarwinds.
• The ability to communicate effectively and clearly, both in verbal and written communications.
• Assists with supporting network related tasks and/or requirements, as directed by management.
• Strong knowledge of the business area that is being supported.
• Assists Help Desk with resolving network related issues.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from employees, vendors and management staff.
• Daily monitoring of SIEM.
• Technical writing.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical reference and apply concepts to practical situations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Assists with monitoring the firewall logs to resolve issues.
• Ability to read, analyze and comprehend general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, audit reports, or governmental regulations.
• Assists with maintaining the Network Diagram.
• Assists with installing new servers and network equipment.
