We are seeking an experienced Network Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will possess a technical understanding of network technologies, including routing, switching, wireless, edge and web application firewalls. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting administration and troubleshooting for customer’s deployed solutions along with maintaining and configuring customer network infrastructure and servers. You will also be required to document all customer incidents accurately and clearly.

The ideal candidate should have experience in diagnosing complex technical problems across multiple technologies and disciplines as part of a team of engineers. You must have the ability to work onsite or remotely on both emergency and chronic issues related to availability, security, performance, connectivity and overall functionality. You should have excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude towards problem solving.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide clear & accurate documentation for all customer incidents
• Work onsite or remotely to diagnose and resolve both emergency and chronic problems related to availability, security, performance, connectivity etc.
• Assist in training and developing the skills of less tenured network administrators
• Have a strong foundational technical understanding of network technologies such as routing, switching, wireless etc.
• Monitor network performance and manage network resources to ensure high availability
• Run daily maintenance, configuration and documentation of customer network infrastructure & servers.
• An ability to troubleshoot complex support incidents across multiple technologies and disciplines as part of a larger team of engineers.
• Experience with environment and system documentation and managing software and hardware licensing
• Network equipment (switch, firewall, etc.) administration experience and a solid understanding of networking topologies and technologies
• Skilled in the support of end users and relevant experience acting as an escalation point to less experienced staff

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with configuring routers, switches, firewalls etc.
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field desired or equivalent experience in lieu of degree
• A minimum 2 years of experience as a network administrator or in network support working in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledgeable about routing protocols (OSPF/BGP/EIGRP), Firewall Technologies, Switching Protocols (VLANs/STP/RSTP) etc.

Preferred Experience

• Intermediate level knowledge with networking practices and concepts
• Some in Cloud integration and sustainment
• Experience managing enterprise grade networks and infrastructure is a plus
• Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Juniper Networks Certified Associate - Junos (JNCIA-Junos), CompTIA Network+, Aruba Certified Mobility Associate (ACMA), or VMWare Certified Technical Associate - Network Virtualization (VCTA-NV) as examples
• Experience working within regulated environments and data such as PCI, SOC, and HIPAA
• Experience with administering VOIP platform network infrastructure
• Some experience in managing technologies such as SD-WAN and MPLS is desired
• Experience in IT consulting or working with a Managed Services Provider (MSP) is preferable but not necessary

Working Conditions & Environment

This position will report to our office in Powell, OH and will travel to data center and customer locations time-to-time as needs arise.
