Caterpillar’s Integrated Components & Solutions (ICS) is looking for Senior Design Engineer to join our Team. You will develop and lead teams in the creation of Telematic Kit structures, AEP (Aftermarket Enhancement Products Kits), control groups, harnesses, vision systems, SEA (Software Enabled Attachments).

What you will do:

• Remain up-to-date on changing customer needs as the project progresses, stay current with new technology, and provide guidance and direction on the project to less experienced engineers, technologists, and technicians.
• Work more directly with different units, suppliers, customers, and/or other teams.
• Direct and participate in the concept and design of complex engineering products or process projects for release to production in a manner to ensure products provide superior performance, durability, quality, and serviceability.
• Manage SAM process (Stocking Authorization Memo).
• Design and promote new components and sub-processes; perform needs analysis and initiate ideas; evaluate new products or processes; perform product maintenance; communicate technical information to customers, team members, suppliers, and other units; and support and advise other engineers, managers, marketing personnel, customers and suppliers.
• Performs complex analysis work, identifies design problems, and resolves problems.
• Bear significant responsibility for the completion of a project with a major focus on delivery.

What you have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in various technology design roles.
• 5+ years of experience in project management.

Top Candidates will also have:

• Understanding of kitting structures.
• Strong working knowledge of the NPI process.
• Excellent analytical skills and a mastery of engineering concepts.
• Ability to read blue prints.
• Strong ability to communicate technical information in a concise and accurate manner.

Additional Information:

The primary location for this position is Mossville, IL, or Tucson, AZ.

Domestic relocation assistance is not available.

This position may require 10% travel.
