JOB SUMMARY

Provides operations and administrative support for a business unit. Coordinates budgeting, process improvement, and other functions enabling the department to meet objectives in an effective and efficient manner. Develops recommendations to solves issues related to business operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyzes monthly department budget reports to maintain expense controls. Prepares commentary and explanation of variances for management review.

Monitors invoicing for expenses to ensure compliance with established policy, service contracts and other operating constraints. Works with appropriate departments to define and implement accounting standards for complex transactions or special projects.

Acts as system administrator for software used by the business group to support its operations. Maintains systems by researching and resolving problems, maintaining system integrity and security.

Troubleshoots and resolves inquiries and requests from internal and external clients.

Reviews and monitors department processes and procedures to find opportunities to improve service delivery to customers. May network with external contacts to research and recommend practices.

Coordinates budget preparation. Researches and collects input from multiple resources. Compiles a variety of operating, financial and statistical information as needed to respond to requests.

Leads and facilitates communication of standard processes, policies, procedures and initiatives to support operations. Establishes processes to share knowledge and implement process improvements. Facilitates process improvement by engaging appropriate resources in issue identification and resolution.

Develops project plans and costs, including personnel and fiscal requirements to achieve defined objectives. May provide periodic updates relative to project resource and fiscal plans.

Performs other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May lead project teams and/or plan, and supervise assignments.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent from four year college or university plus a minimum of five years related work experience to include budgeting, finance and or business analytics; or equivalent combination of education & experience.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate figures such as percentages, discounts, and commissions. Conducts financial analysis.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires analytical and quantitative skills.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Spreadsheet skills to include database management required.

Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project schedules. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Sr Business Operations Analyst position is $65,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Sr Business Operations Analyst position is $80,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
